Organized locally, Vincentians bear witness to God's love by embracing all works of charity and justice. The Society collaborates with other people of good will in order to provide a variety of activities for the community. Education and Enrichment Services are offered to both children and adults at the Casa San Juan Bosco Community Center.
Catholic Charities efforts are supported by a group of volunteers who help children with homework and provide leadership in activities for adults, such as English as a Second Language classes and Zumba classes. Additionally, Catholic Charities is proud to partner with a variety of community agencies to provide educational experiences to the residents of Casa San Juan Bosco. Housing in Belize is located in the Punta Gorda volunteer houses. Volunteers will serve in the parish community led by the Jesuits.
The guesthouse has bunk beds and air conditioning, a rare treat on mission trips to Belize. Boys and women will have separate sleeping areas. There will also be an opportunity to meet the Pallottine sisters. The homes are located along the Gulf of Mexico, providing a perfect view for swimming at dawn or dawn at the local pier.
Catholic Charities works hard to help those in need in Southwest Florida through a wide range of programs. These include services for refugees, camps for children in need, disaster response, adoption, housing assistance, HIV outreach, and many more. Casa San Juan Bosco Farm Worker Housing is a Catholic charities complex located in Arcadia that provides affordable, quality housing to area farmworkers and their families.
